Poco dopo la sua elezione a settembre, l'Abate Primate Jeremias Schröder ha nominato P. Brendan Coffey, abate emerito dell'Abbazia di Glenstal a Murroe, Contea di Limerick, Irlanda, priore del Collegio Sant’Anselmo. P. Brendan assumerà formalmente la responsabilità del suo nuovo incarico il 7 gennaio.
A causa dell'instabilità politica, l'Anno di Studi Teologici a Gerusalemme si è temporaneamente trasferito a Roma, continuando il suo programma di studi biblici, ecumenismo e dialogo interreligioso. Sfruttando il supporto di Sant’Anselmo, il programma si è adattato a un nuovo contesto esplorando al contempo i ricchi legami storici di Roma con la Terra Santa.
Il Congresso degli Abati del 2024 ha invitato le comunità benedettine a diventare attivi costruttori di pace, a partire dai propri monasteri. Ispirato dal messaggio di riconciliazione di San Benedetto e dall'appello di Papa Francesco, il Congresso ha sollecitato un rinnovato impegno alla preghiera, all'ospitalità e all'unità durante il prossimo Anno Santo.

On 12 July 2024, the Congregation of Saint Ottilien received sad news from Abbot Christian Temu regarding the death by automobile accident of three members of The Abbey of Our Lady Help of Christians in Ndanda, Tanzania: Fr. Cornelius (Clement) Mdoe OSB, Fr. Pius (Peter) Boa OSB and Brother Bakanja (Epimack) Mkenda OSB.
