Dom Geraldo González y Lima OSB, long-serving treasurer of the Benedictine Confederation in Rome, has been elected the fourth Abbot of São Geraldo Abbey in São Paulo, Brazil, returning to his home community.

31 January 2026Abbot Primate Jeremias Schröder congratulates Bishop Manuel Nin Güell, OSB, on his appointment as Exarch of Grottaferrata. Bishop Nin is a monk of Montserrat, a former rector of the Greek College, and a professor at Ateneo Sant'Anselmo.
