Father Martin Neyt OSB, a monk of Clerlande Monastery and President of the Alliance for International Monasticism (AIM) from 1997 to 2013, has passed away. His legacy is one of service to the international monastic world.

Fr. Ludwig Wenzl OSB has been elected by the community of Melk Abbey as the 68th abbot, succeeding Abbot Georg Wilfinger. He will take office on 7 November 2025 for a 12-year term.
On 5 September 2025 Pope Leo XIV confirmed the re-election of Fr. Urban Federer, OSB, as ordinary Abbot of the Territorial Abbey of Maria Einsiedeln. The monastic chapter had elected him on 30 August for another 12-year term, a first in the Abbey’s history.
