Fr. Rhabanus (Friedbert) Erbacher entered into the eternal peace of God on 28 January 2025 at Münsterschwarzach Abbey.
He served as abbey organist, music teacher in the Gymnasium and was instrumental in the publication of the Benedictine Antiphonale, the monastic Book of Hours.
Born in 1937 in Mosbach, he entered the abbey in 1957 and made his first profession in 1958, followed by solemn profession in 1961. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1963 at Münsterschwarzach.
