As a founding member of the American Debate Association, he contributed significantly to the national collegiate debate scene. Beyond the classroom, he held numerous administrative and advisory roles, including service on the President’s Council and as director of Activities and Scheduling.

In addition to his academic and monastic duties, Brother Edward was deeply involved in civic service. He held long-standing positions with the Wimmer Corporation and various local boards and authorities, offering his expertise in finance, planning, and community development. From 2003 until his death, he faithfully served as benefits manager for the Abbey’s health care programs. May he now find rest in the peace of Christ he served so diligently.
