On 30 November 2024, Abbot Michael Reepen OSB, Pro-President of the Congregation of St. Ottilien, wrote to inform us of the election of a new Abbot of the community of Inkamana, South Africa.

Dear Confreres

It is with great joy that I share the news that the community of Inkamana in South Africa has today elected for an unlimited period

Fr. Boniface Kamushishi OSB as their Fourth Abbot.

Fr. Boniface was born on 13 November 1976, in Okakete, in the Archdiocese of Windhoek. He took his vows on 5 February 2000, and was ordained to the priesthood on 14 April 2007. For the past three years, he has faithfully served the community as prior administrator.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Abbot Boniface and the entire Inkamana community. May God’s abundant blessings accompany them as they continue their mission of service to God’s kingdom in today’s world. May the Lord guide and strengthen them in their vocation.

With fraternal greetings,

Abbot Michael Reepen OSB
Pro-President of the Congregation of St. Ottilien
