Father Colman Grabert, OSB

Father Colman Grabert, OSB, a dedicated monk of Saint Meinrad Archabbey, passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 85, marking 64 years of monastic life and 59 years of priesthood. Born in Evansville, IN, he entered Saint Meinrad High School Seminary in 1953, later earning a degree in philosophy and furthering his theological studies in Rome. He spent much of his life teaching at Saint Meinrad School of Theology, contributing to theological research and conferences worldwide. In addition to his academic roles, Father Colman served his community as an organist, secretary, gardener, and retreat leader. His funeral services will be held on August 12, 2024, at Saint Meinrad Archabbey.
