Br. Dr. Ignas Danda, monk of Mvimwa Abbey and medical doctor
born 1 January 1961, died 21 September 2018
On Friday, 21st September 2018, at 7:35 a.m., the Eternal Father called our Brother Dr. Ignas Danda OSB to his eternal home. Br. Ignas served the population of the far west of Tanzania as a medical doctor, in both state and church hospitals. He was widely known, and the funeral after his early death at age 57 drew thousands of mourners from the entire region.
The farewell Mass and Burial ceremony were celebrated on Thursday 27th September at Mvimwa Abbey at 10:00 a.m. Please kindly pray for the eternal rest of the soul of Br. Ignas, and pray also for the Mvimwa Community.
