Father Abílio (Policarpo) Orlando Pereira de Bessa, a member of the monastic community of Singeverga, Portugal, was born in 1935. He professed his religious vows in 1954 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1961.
He passed away on 23 January 2026, remembered with gratitude for his long life of faithful service, prayer, and dedication to his community. May he rest in peace.
