Brother Daniel Schnapp OSB

The Lord over life and death has called Brother Daniel (Wilhelm) Schnapp OSB into His eternal glory on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Münsterschwarzach Abbey.

Br. Daniel was born in 1943, in Motschenbach/Ofr. He joined Münsterschwarzach in 1960. Through his profession of vows in 1962, he became a member of the community. He learned the shoemaking trade and, after obtaining his master’s certificate, served as a dairy farmer, managing the abbey’s large cowshed from 1965 to 1991.

A thanksgiving service for Br. Daniel will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the abbey church. May God reward him abundantly.
