On 21 February 2026, Brother Erich (Erwin Josef) Schuck OSB passed away at Passau Hospital as a result of a serious head injury.
Brother Erich was born in 1939 in Biberach/Riß. He took his vows in 1966 at St. Ottilien Archabbey and worked as a missionary in South Africa between 1973 and 2009. Since his return to Germany, Brother Erich had been active in the Maria Hilf Mission Society in Schweiklberg. May God reward him abundantly.
