\"\"On the late Sunday evening of April 26, 2020 at 10:15 p.m., our brother Gottfried (Heinrich) F\u00f6lting OSB peacefully returned to his creator after a long illness at the St. Walburga Hospital in Meschede.<\/p>\n

Brother Gottfried was born on November 27, 1939 in L\u00fcnen, Diocese of M\u00fcnster, and made his profession on May 12, 1959 in K\u00f6nigsm\u00fcnster. For many years he served our community as a caretaker and car attendant. Not only did he open many doors as the person responsible for the locking system, he was also able to open the doors and hearts of people thanks to his friendly, attentive manner. His annual visits to Croatia are unforgettable. In recent years, his powers have been waning. We are all the more pleased that his strength allowed us to celebrate Easter with him one last time in the Abbey. Now he has entered the easter joy of what he has longed for a lifetime. May Br. Gottfried live in God’s peace!<\/p>\n

Due to the corona epidemic, Br. Gottfried’s burial can only take place in the small circle of the convent and the closest relatives.<\/p>\n
