On November 5, 2024, Fr. Louren\u00e7o Moreira da Silva, former Abbot of Singeverga, Portugal, entered eternal rest after a long life of devotion and service to God.<\/p>\n

Born in 1935, Fr. Louren\u00e7o embraced the Benedictine vocation early, professing his monastic vows in 1951. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1958, marking the beginning of a remarkable spiritual journey dedicated to prayer, leadership, and pastoral care. From 1977 to 1993, Fr. Louren\u00e7o was the abbot of the Abbey of Singeverga.<\/p>\n

Fr. Louren\u00e7o will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to the Benedictine charism and his dedication to his monastic community. May he rest in the peace of Christ, whom he served so faithfully throughout his life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
