Brother Ambroce Masule OSB, was born on 23 March 1990; in Bulekela Village \u2013 Ndoleleji Parishi \u2013 in the Diocese of Shinyanga – Tanzania; from parents Mr Edward Masule and Mrs Salome Isaak, being the fifth child of 12 children.<\/p>\n
He was baptised (Lucas) on 26 June 1990, at Ndoleleji Parish, received First Communion on 22 June 2008, and was confirmed on 7 September 2008 at the same parish.<\/p>\n
Completed primary education in 2005 at Bulekela Primary School. Attended secondary education (Ordinary Level) at Itaga Seminary completed in 2013; and completed Advanced Level at Usagara High-School and completed in 2016.<\/p>\n
On 22 June 2016 he arrived at the abbey to start his monastic journey. On 28 June 2016 he became a postulant and on 28 June 2017 he became a novice, choosing the monastic name Ambroce. On 30 June 2019 he made his monastic vows at Mvimwa Abbey.<\/p>\n
As a professed brother, he served as formator to the candidates; the work that he did with great excellency convinced everybody that our young confrere had a carism for formation. At the same time he was put in charge of the monastery shop, a work that he did with great success. Deep in his heart he felt the call to become a monk-priest. Thus in August 2021, he was sent to Nairobi for philosophical studies, where he was enrolled at Consolata Seminary.<\/p>\n
After one year of study, in May 2022 he came back to the monastery for a long vacation. At this time he helped as formator to the trade school trainees here at Mvimwa. With his gift of acceptability and reachability, he was able to understand well the needs and challenges of the youngsters and adress them as best as he could.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, 14 August 2022 at 19:40 hrs, while he was on the way back to Nairobi to continue with studies, the car got into an accident that claimed his life on the spot, along with three other passengers. Others remain severely wounded. He was only 32 years when he died.<\/p>\n
At all times he proved to be a person of intergrity, hard-working, very committed to monastic life, and a promising additional to our future personnel. We thank God for the gift of Br. Ambroce in our commuity. We recommend his soul to God\u2019s Divine Mercy. May he rest in peace. Amen.<\/p>\n
