The Right Reverend Antonio Musi OSB, Abbot of San Pietro di Sorres, passed away suddenly on 11 August 2019.\u00a0 He was 74 years old.<\/p>\n

Abbot Antonio was born on 10 September 1944 in Cannosa (RE).\u00a0 He made his profession of monastic vows on 29 September 1960 and was ordained a priest on 22 June 1969.\u00a0 He became abbot of the Abbey of San Pietro di Sorres in 2007 and was renowned for his particularly cordial and gentle demeanor, as well as for making himself available to all people in a spirit of humble service.\u00a0 Abbot Antonio also served as Episcopal Vicar for Consecrated Life, member of the College of Consultors, and member of the Presbyteral Council of the Archdiocese of Sassari.<\/p>\n

We commend the peaceful repose of the soul of Abbot Antonio to the prayers of the Benedictine Confederation.<\/p>\n<\/div>
